Rain Floods Little Tunnel/Power Outage In Canyon

On Oct. 17, the Little Tunnel that runs under PCH to Will Rogers State Beach flooded, while hundreds of Canyon residents also lost power.

According to Christina Holland of the L.A. Department of Water and Power, 416 residents lost power from about 5:30 a.m. to 7:17 p.m. on Tuesday.

Sharon Kilbride, the Canyon representative to the Pacific Palisades Community Council, said the pump inside the Little Tunnel near Ocean Way was “totally full of water,” but cleanup began the same evening after Kilbride sent a request to Councilwoman Traci Park’s Field Deputy Arus Grigoryan, who quickly put in a work order.

The Roosevelt Tunnel under PCH remained clear throughout the day.
