How To Request Public Trash Collection

In order to report overflowing trash at public Canyon receptacles, residents can phone L.A. Sanitation at (800) 773-2489, according to The Canyon Alliance Board Member Sharon Kilbride.
“When you get the representative on the line, you must be very specific on the location of the receptacle that needs attention,” Kilbride said in a Friday email. “We have three city receptacles here in the Canyon that seemed to always be missed on pick up day. I called today and spent a half hour with the representative and got specific locations for everyone to report when [receptacles are] bursting with trash.”
Here are the location names that Kilbride was provided:
1. 130 West Channel Road (by the bus stop near Amazing Grace)
2. 301 Entrada (on the island at Mesa and Entrada)
3. Entrada and Ocean Avenue (at the bus stop beside the Little Library)
Sanitation usually arrives within two business days, according to Kilbride, and all three receptacles had been emptied by Saturday morning.
