Pali Community Council Sends Follow-Up Survey

The Pacific Palisades Community Council is again surveying residents to understand how recovery conditions have changed over time.

Residents can check their email accounts for the survey, which is being conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago. The survey will come from ppccstudy@norc.org.

The council also did a resident survey last year to assess the community’s needs in the aftermath of the Palisades FIre. On Aug. 6, residents were sent a letter announcing the new survey.

“This follow-up survey will help us understand how community experiences, concerns, and priorities have changed over time as recovery progresses,” the letter stated. In addition, the PPCC noted, “Whether or not you participated in last year’s survey, your input will play a vital role in shaping how PPCC advocates for the community’s needs—whether related to housing, infrastructure, safety, or other essential services. The more residents we hear from, the stronger and more representative the data will be.”

According to the council, the survey will take about 15 minutes to complete, and the gathered data will be kept confidential and only used for research. Answers are desired from all residents, including renters and owners whose homes were destroyed, damaged, or unharmed and people who have returned, plan to return, don’t plan to return, or are undecided.
