Canyon Elementary Will Host a Construction Update Meeting on June 16

Canyon Charter Elementary School officials will meet with the public on June 16 to update the community on construction plans for the classroom replacement project.

The 6 p.m. meeting will be held both in person and online to provide updates and answer questions regarding the construction schedule, landscaping plans, project design, and safety measures. In addition, the meeting will address playground access during construction and exterior lighting plans.

“The director of project execution is reviewing details with the project team regarding the historic library building and the completion timeline,” said Los Angeles Unified School District representative Maribel Serrano in an email to parents and the community. “I look forward to continuing our dialogue and ensuring that community comments and questions are addressed at the upcoming meeting.”

To join the meeting via Zoom, use this link, or, to attend in person, go to the school at 421 Entrada Dr.

Questions can be sent to Serrano at (213) 241-2258 or via email to cp-maribel.serrano@lausd.net.
