PPCC Meets Nov. 13—Honorees, Rebuilding After Camp Fire To Be Discussed

The Pacific Palisades Community Council will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at this Zoom link.

The meeting will feature a presentation on the 2025 PPCC Awards Honorees:
Citizen of the Year:          Jim Cragg
Golden Sparkplugs:         Jessica Rogers, Maryam Zar
Pride of the Palisades:    Chuck Hart, Team Palisades
Awesome Advocates:*     Sue Pascoe, Spencer Pratt
(*new award in this extraordinary year)

Special Commendations* 
Youth:   William Chapin, Julia & Leo Wolfberg
News:    Sarah Shmerling, Editor in Chief, Palisadian-Post
(*for notable community contributions this year)

An awards gala will be held Dec. 11 to honor the winners.

Jen Goodlin, the executive director of the Rebuild Paradise Foundation, will also make a presentation at the meeting. After the 2018 Camp Fire, she worked on the recovery effort of the town of Paradise.

On Oct. 30, a PPCC special meeting addressed the proposed demolition of Gladstone’s and its replacement with a Frank Gehry-designed restaurant featuring Chef Wolfgang Puck’s food. A recording of the meeting presentation is here, and a slide deck of information from the meeting is here.
