Brush clearance and tree trimming along the 300-500 blocks of Rustic Creek proceeded as planned this week.
The work, which was paid for by The Canyon Alliance and Boca Neighborhood Association, occurred on Oct. 28 and 29.
“The tree trimming/brush clearing project went as planned for the two full days,” area resident and organizer David Jackson said. “Considering the enormity of the work, I think they did a great job.”
The E. Berumen Tree Service & Landscaping Company removed dead plant material and trimmed overgrown bushes and trees on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jackson said. The Alliance provided $4,800 for the endeavor, which was previously done about five years ago, while the Boca Neighborhood Association contributed $3,000 to reduce fire danger in the area.
