LAPD’s Enforcement at Downtown Protests Means Altered Palisades Schedule
The Los Angeles Police Department’s intensive response to downtown L.A. protests has shifted the schedule of LAPD’s Senior Lead Officer for Pacific Palisades Brian Espin.
According to his regular email email update, he has been temporarily assigned to a night shift downtown. However, the officers who oversee varied Palisades checkpoints will still be at their posts.
“Our department has mobilized, meaning all sworn officers are either working A watch 6 a.m.-6 p.m. or B watch 6 p.m.-6 a.m.,” Espin said in his email. “I will be away from [my] desk as I am currently assigned to B watch downtown. The Palisades will still continue to have officers assigned to the checkpoints and area for security. I wanted to inform you all … [in case] there is a long delay in me replying to any emails or phone messages. “
Espin can be reached at (310) 444-0737 or 37430@lapd.online. The non-emergency line for the LAPD is (877) 275-5273 (877-ask-lapd), while 911 is to be used for emergencies.
