Councilmember Traci Park’s Volunteers to Gather Signatures for 2026 Election on Feb. 7

On Saturday Feb. 7 between 2-5 p.m., volunteers will be at the Palisades Garden Café (15231 La Cruz Dr.) to obtain signatures to re-elect City Councilmember Traci Park.

Candidates for the 2026 City Council election must either submit 1,000 signatures from their council district’s voters or submit 500 signatures and pay a $300 filing fee, according to the Office of the City Clerk. A nonpartisan primary election will be held June 2, and, if a runoff is required for any election race, it will be Nov. 3.

For Park, only voters from City Council District 11 are needed to acquire the requisite number of signatures on the nominating petition.

According to the City Clerk’s office, candidates have 25 days to gather signatures beginning on Feb. 7, which is 115 days before the election.
