Rustic & S.M. Canyon Survey Participants Wanted by P.P.C.C.

A survey focused on recovery and rebuilding after the Palisades Fire has been launched by the Pacific Palisades Community Council and NORC at the University of Chicago.

Participation has been relatively low by Rustic and Santa Monica Canyon residents, so the council has reached out to request greater participation.

“The findings will help P.P.C.C. advocate for policies and resources that reflect the community’s vision—ensuring residents’ voices are heard and their preferences are communicated to decision makers,” according to a letter from P.P.C.C President Sue Kohl.

Emailed survey invitations have already been sent and come from PPCCStudy@norc.org. The invitations, which are only sent to verified Pacific Palisades residents, include a personalized link that cannot be shared or forwarded to others.

NORC (formerly the National Opinion Research Center) is a non-partisan, non-profit research organization affiliated with the University of Chicago. Responses are desired from both homeowners and renters, including people with homes that were left destroyed, damaged, or unharmed.

Respondents will receive a $5 eGift card from either Amazon or a charity of their choice. More information about the study can be found here, and questions about the survey can be sent to PPCCStudy@norc.org.

Residents who haven't received the survey email can ask for the link by emailing: info@pacpalicc.org.
