Purdue University Invites Canyon Households to Participate in a Post-Fire Survey

Dr. Andrew Whelton at Purdue University is conducting research to better understand the attitudes and experiences of households who lived in homes directly impacted by the 2025 Eaton Fire and Palisades Fire.

The research team invites Canyon residents to participate in the survey.

Canyon residents have until May 5 to complete the survey. Households who qualify for this study include those who have a standing home or destroyed home in a fire perimeter or adjacent to the fire perimeter. This includes Canyon households. 

The research team selected question topics based on direct input and feedback by some households impacted by the Eaton Fire and Palisades Fire. Questions pertain to:

  • Property Characteristics

  • Property Impacts and Cleaning/Remediation

  • Swimming Pools and Cleaning

  • Safety Attitudes

  • Insurance and Financial Support

  • Household Characteristics

  • Thinking of the Future and Your Perspectives

  • Your Unanswered Questions and Follow-Up
