Councilwoman Park Will Host a Town Hall on SB 79 Wednesday

Councilwoman Traci Park will discuss Senate Bill 79 on Sept. 10 from 6-6:30 p.m.

According to Park’s newsletter, “Senate Bill 79 would force massive increases in housing density into neighborhoods across Los Angeles while stripping residents of any say in what gets built.”

SB 79 would authorize “upzoning” near transit infrastructure to allow increased housing density near rail stations and rapid bus lines. The current version of the bill can be found here.
