Palisades Business & Community Benefit to Be Held at the Colony in Venice on Saturday

Councilwoman Traci Park and The Colony in Venice have joined forces to support Palisades businesses that lost their storefronts in the Jan. 7 fire.

The June 7 event will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at 401 N. Lincoln Blvd “in a spirit of solidarity, offering direct support and visibility to those who have been displaced or impacted” by the fire, according to the organizers.

Six Palisades restaurants, Sasabune, Taj Palace, Armav, K Bakery, DELizioso, and Cinque Terre West, have “found a new home within Colony’s kitchens in Venice and Santa Monica,” according to the event’s promotional materials. Both Palisades artisans and Colony shops will also offer their wares for sale. All vendor fees are waived for businesses affected by the fire, and proceeds will benefit recovery efforts.

At noon, Palisades martial artist Gerry Blanck and his students will perform a karate exhibition.

If interested in showcasing your business or organization at the event, contact Christopher Riesbeck at events@colonycooks.com.
