Evacuation Warning Begins at 10 P.M. Tonight—Heavy Rain and Mudflow Possible
L.A.P.D. issued an Evacuation Warning for Pacific Palisades residents and business owners within the recent burn area.
The warning cites an increased risk of debris and mudflow from 10 p.m. tonight until Wednesday at 6 a.m. Residents are advised to prepare for potential evacuation by staying alert to conditions and following instructions from emergency personnel. The warning could be changed to an Evacuation Order if storm conditions warrant it.
In order to prepare, L.A.P.D. requests that each household have a plan for family members and pets. Essential items, such as medications, important documents, clothing, and personal items, should be packed. In addition, people who require extra time to evacuate, including people with disabilities or other special requirements, should consider leaving now.
Once the rain begins, remain indoors and avoid unnecessary travel.
