Los Angeles County Public Works began cleaning the flood channel at the base of the Canyon today.

In March, Sharon Kilbride, the Canyon’s representative to the Pacific Palisades Community Council, requested the channel’s cleanup after flooding in February brought in debris. More recently, when dirty water along the beach was sprayed on some residents, Kilbride said that she met with Public Works Inspector Pedro Mendoza and again requested cleanup.

“He reassured me that they would be taking care of cleaning of the watershed during the project at the beach while fixing the broken bridge,” Kilbride said.
