Palisades Events Wrap Up: Coffee & Conversation, Theatre Palisades & Renewal Center
The American Legion, Theatre Palisades and the newly opened Palisades Community Renewal Center are all presenting offerings to the public over the next month.
Sept. 5-21: Theatre Palisades, while lacking its old location across from PaliHi, is nevertheless staging a new play, The Wisdom of Eve (a stage version of the classic film All About Eve), at the Blue Door Theater in Culver City. The run started Friday, Sept. 5, at 8 p.m.. and continues through a 2 p.m. matinee on Sept. 21 with performances on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Oct. 1: The American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 283, welcomed residents for its first coffee and conversation event on Sept. 3, from 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., and will continue to offer the event on the first Wednesday of every month. The gathering includes a free continental breakfast at the American Legion Post (15247 La Cruz Dr.).
The Palisades Community Renewal Center at 3212 Nebraska Ave. in Santa Monica opened its doors to residents on Sept. 6. The center offers free arts workshops and therapy to people impacted by the Palisades Fire. Visit their website at this link. Contact: (310) 744-1310.
