Annual Voting Begins for Board and Name Change

Ballots have gone out today by email to the 153 current member households of the Santa Monica Canyon Civic Association (SMCCA).

Voting will take place today through the end of Thursday, May 29. The ballot contains two questions: whether members endorse the proposed slate for the 2025-2026 board, and whether members endorse changing SMCCA’s name to The Canyon Alliance. More election informationis available here.

If an expected ballot has not been received as of Tuesday morning, please check your spam inbox. If you do not find the email with the ballot link, please notify info@smcca.org, and a ballot will be sent to you.

Anyone who would still like to join and vote has until Thursday to become a member, which you may do by contributing to the Canyon Recovery and Emergency Fund. The first $50 of any gift pays the annual household membership dues in full and will result in a ballot being sent to you at the email provided. Alternatively, prospective members may pay or renew their dues directly at SMCCA’s website after which a ballot will be emailed.
